Movies that Matter On Tour Leiden is looking for new committee members

Volunteer group Movies that Matter On Tour Leiden is looking for new committee members!

From October to May, films that were screened at the Movies that Matter Festival tour to 16 cities throughout the Netherlands. In Leiden they are screened at the Kijkhuis. A side programme is organized for each film, such as a Q&A, quiz, musical performance or an exhibition. In Leiden, the films are shown with English subtitles, unless the spoken language is already English. Any follow-up discussions will also be held in English.

The volunteer group provides a side programme for the film, invites guests and promotes the screening so that as many visitors as possible attend. The chairman of the committee has ultimate responsibility and maintains contact with Movies that Matter and the Kijkhuis. The meetings are held in English, unless there is no expat or international student in the team. For more detailed information about the group’s working method, please refer to their call.

Are you interested in human rights, do you have a passion for film and do you enjoy organizing cultural events? Send a short motivation to Anna Puntman via a.puntman@moviesthatmatter.nl. For questions you can also send an email to Anna. We are specifically looking for people with a bi- or multicultural background.

The volunteer position requires around 2-4 hours a week of your time, but you get a lot of knowledge, great people and an addition to your network in return.
