NPO 2Doc: Zonen zonder vaders

After the screening of Zonen zonder vaders, journalist Sophie Derkzen will talk with protagonist Nabil Tkhidousset and director Tessa Louise Pope. 

Tessa Louise Pope (Amsterdam, 1988) graduated as a documentary director from the Dutch Film Academy. Tessa has received several awards for her previous films. Currently Tessa is working on the coming-of-age documentary series ‘Zorgen’ in which seven students are followed in the first and second year of their care training.  She is also finishing a new film ism the VPRO (completion July 2024) and developing her next documentary film. 

Sophie Derkzen is a presenter and program maker at VPRO. She presents on NPO Radio 1 the daily foreign affairs program Bureau Buitenland, in 2022 chosen by a professional jury as the winner of the Zilveren Reissmicrofoon for the best radio program of the year. On Radio 1 she can also be heard as an interviewer on VPRO’s Marathon Interviews, Nooit Meer Slapen and Publieke Tribune (HUMAN).
