This film offers a revealing look inside an Iraqi prison, where prisoners on death row anxiously await their victim's family, who can execute the verdict but also grant forgiveness.
Mansour is a death row convict. Three times already, his victim's family have not shown up at the scaffold. The torturing uncertainty has a destructive effect on Mansour (a beautiful role by Hosein Yari). He ponders on the past, when he led his parents and wife from the sunny countryside to the grey capital of Teheran, in search for work that was not there. A critically acclaimed, impressive debut, based on true stories.
