Dreaming Nicaragua

For children who grow up in poor, rural Nicaragua, the future is anything but rosy. They often go hungry and work from early childhood. Filmmaker Marcello Bukin has made a touching and beautifully filmed portrait of these children, who are able to temporarily escape their harsh living conditions by attending a drawing class. The children do not lose their determination, despite extreme poverty.
