Jury report

The jury praises Shadow Game as a film that “impressed and moved us deeply”. But not only the subject is moving, the way the refugees are brought to the screen by the filmmakers is as convincing: “This compelling film with amazing access and skilfully created visuals, tells the burning story of a modern European Odyssey, of youngsters who are being pushed to live in the shadow of their own lives and play a game of Life and Death.”

Special mentions go to Here We Move Here We Groove which “addresses a topic that is brought with nuances and warmth” and to I Don’t Wanna Dance which touches upon local issues in “a compelling family drama with a relevant and broad social context and above all: marvellous acting”.
