Thank you for participating in our Sakharov quiz!

We will select one lucky winner at random from the participants with the most correct answers. The winner will receive two tickets for the Opening Night of the Movies that Matter Festival 2022 on Friday 25 March in The Hague, including a one-night stay for two with breakfast in the Mercure Hotel.

The winner of the quiz will receive a personal message before 6 December. The answers to all quiz questions will be posted on our website in December.

Sacharov Film Screenings

This month we present a special film screening in the context of the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in Groningen, Leiden, Maastricht and Middelburg, in collaboration with the European Parliament. The screenings can be attended free of charge and are accompanied by variety of side programmes.

We show the documentary Dangerous Acts of the Unstable Elements of Belarus by Madeleine Sackler. A portrait of the underground theater company Belarus Free Theatre, filmed before, during and after the disputed elections won by dictator Aleksander Lukashenko.

Movies that Matter Festival 2022

The Movies that Matter Festival 2022 will take place from 25 March until 3 April in The Hague, eight cities across the Netherlands and online. At the festival we will dedicate a special film programme to the winner of the 2021 Sakharov Prize, Alexei Navalny.
