Film: Portrait of Stranger

Portrait of Stranger is a series of interviews with refugees from around the world which serves as a collective portrait of human fragility and fortitude. Creating a visual vocabulary through  photography and film, Portrait of Stranger explores the universal truths of the human spirit – the desire to be free, to be safe, to be respected, to belong. When we distill the dialogue beyond facts, figures, and borders, can we see ourselves in the story?

Portrait of Stranger was a collaboration between artist Platon and the United Nations Refugee Agency, as part of a multimedia project designed to reframe the narratives and perception around people forced to flee.
