Invitation - Take on Voices: Safer World for the Truth?

In collaboration with Free Press Unlimited and the research team Save the World we present a panel discussion on journalists under threat and press freedom. Journalists worldwide, but especially in countries with limited (press) freedom, receive immense threats that make it difficult to do their work safely. We will in particular examine the situation in India.

Using clips of the rough cut We All Are Gauri, we have a conversation with the filmmaker Kavitha Lankesh about the journalistic power of the image. We will also be joined by directors Rintu Thomas and Sushmit Ghosh of Writing with Fire to further dive into the topic of journalists at risk.

Moderator: Evelien Wijkstra, Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer at Free Press Unlimited

Date: Saturday 10 April, 10:00 – 12:00
Location: Concordia Theater, The Hague and online livestream
Language: English
VOD available from: Sunday 10 April

Special offer for Free Press Unlimited members: Use code MtMF22#FPU for a discounted ticket (4€) for the offline event.

This panel is organised in collaboration with Free Press Unlimited.
