Selected by Trouw

Saturday 21 March — Watch two films followed by discussions with Trouw film critic Remke de Lange.

Derek vs Derek
In Derek vs Derek, two English farmers — neighbours and both named Derek — come into conflict when one of them returns his land to nature. After the film, we talk to director James Dawson and rewilding expert Marc Wilbers.

Silenced

After #MeToo broke the cultural silence on gendered violence, survivors swiftly found themselves facing a new kind of silencing and fear as defamation laws became weaponized against women for speaking out. Post-screening discussion with Marloes van Noorloos, Professor of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at University Leiden.
