Film by the Sea
Film by the Sea is the fourth-largest film festival in the Netherlands and one of the most important annual cultural events in Zeeland. From September 12th to 21st, 2025, the festival will celebrate its 26th edition, offering a wide audience the chance to enjoy over 100 films from around the world, approximately a third of which are imported. Not only adaptations of books and French-language films, but also Zeeland films and documentaries receive considerable attention. The Panorama section screens the best new, high-quality films of the moment. Film by the Sea attracts approximately 40,000 visitors. Besides films, Film by the Sea also offers an extensive fringe program, including a screenwriting workshop, Q&As, and various performances.
