Africa United

2010, 90 minutes

Three Rwandese children go after their dream: taking part in the opening ceremony of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. They set out on an incredible road trip across Central Africa. An adventure film about Africa, joy, generosity and hope.

Young Fabrice’s soccer skills are discovered on a sandlot in Rwanda. One last test separates him from the grand opening of the World Cup. However, fate strikes on the way when he and his friends, good-natured ‘manager’ Dudu and his sister Beatrice, get on the wrong bus and end up in Congo. Without papers, money or a credible story, the little heroes try to find their way south. Armed with naiveness, determination and blind optimism, they go on a 3,000-mile journey, experiencing Africa the way very few people have witnessed it.
