Amir wants to become a successful actor. Despite his talent, he remains unnoticed. In his quest for recognition, Amir’s impatience leads him to face the underworld.

For years, 23-year-old Amir from Amsterdam has had one dream: to become an actor. Despite his constant efforts and talent, he remains unnoticed by the film industry. He makes audition tape after audition tape, but is only cast as a criminal in reconstructions for the investigative programme Report Crime, where his face is even blurred.

After Amir resigns in frustration, a big opportunity comes his way. He gets to audition for a big, international production in Brussels. There, in his quest for recognition, however, Amir’s impatience brings him face to face with the underworld. A world he had previously known only from the stereotypical roles he previously performed. This clearly stands in the way of his path to fame and success.
