Industry: The Mission of the New Maker

For students and filmmakers at the beginning of their careers, we present The Mission of the New Maker. An inspiring afternoon programme where we help you on your way to making and financing your film. This year our focus will be on the role and position of filmmakers, under the umbrella “be brave and be safe”. 

The event will begin with a panel (organised with NFF and CoBO) on the role of filmmakers. Our confirmed speakers for the event are Lidija Zelovic, Malu Janssen and Naomi White. The makers will show excerpts of their latest films, talk about their position as filmmakers and the challenges and opportunities they face.

The panel will be followed by sessions of round tables, where participants will have the chance to sit down with various Dutch parties. Confirmed participating organisations are NPA, NPO, SEENL, Beeld en Geluid, FilmFonds, Creative Europe Desk, CoBO, Netherlands Film Commission, Qissa, Vers, De Ontmoeting, Wildlam, Buddy Film Foundation, Screen Talent NL, Film Forward. The programme is free to attend, but reservations are required. Before your visit, order a free ticket online and have it scanned at the venue. The programme is conducted in English.
