Homeland Security
Virginia Díaz & Víctor Luengo
Logline
In Europe, the migration crisis is no longer a humanitarian issue, but a military one. The world knows who the losers are in this crisis, but… do we know who the winners are?
Impact Statement
“We want people to stand up against the simplistic narrative of the far right and against the European arms and security industry. For this, we want to show the film in the European Parliament in Brussels and in institutional forums in each country. We hope it could finally become an important reference to deeply explain the relationship between the agenda of the European institutions and the current migration phenomenon in a broader sense. Our confirmed partners for the Campaign (for the moment are): Fundación Por Causa, Sea Watch, Corporate Europe Observatory. Looking for Stop Wapenhandel, International Amnesty, Human Rights Watch.”

Goal at Take on Film & Impact
“First and foremost, we want to learn and be inspired to draw a solid strategy for the impact campaign. What to do and what not to do, and then, of course, to contact impact producers that best fit the spirit of the project. Get to know similar projects, teams that have already gone through the experience, and also professionals in the sector. In terms of NGOs, we would like to contact those that are aligned against the arms market and the mistreatment of migrants. We are thinking of Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch, but we are open.”
