Discussion with Protagonists Margaret Koster and Jochem Sprenger

What impact does knowing your ancestry have on your identity? How do you come to terms with a family history intertwined with the legacy of slavery? In the film Bloodlines, we follow the journey of descendants of both the enslaved and slave owners as they uncover their past and explore how it shapes their present.

After the screening, moderator Maurice Seleky will speak with protagonists Jochem Sprenger, who was confronted with his family history as a descendant of slave owners; and Margaret Koster, a descendant of enslaved people, who will share her personal discoveries and reflections.

Please note that this talk will be in Dutch.
