Hugo Verkuijl is Senior Policy Officer Food and Nutrition Security Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands. He has worked as agricultural policy researcher with CIMMYT, Director of an agricultural input company as well as program director of a humanitarian NGO. He has over 30 years of technical, geographic and management experience gained through postings in Ethiopia (4years), Mali (12 years) and Senegal (1 year) as well as numerous short-term assignments in the Caribbean, Central America, Eastern and Southern Africa and India. His overarching drive is to contribute to financial, social and environmental impact.
Marieke Eyskoot is a sustainable lifestyle expert, presenter, speaker and author. She has worked as a moderator for, among others, Dutch Design Week, ASN Bank, Stichting DOEN, Netflix and various ministries, and is one of the presenters of the KRO-NCRV TV programme BinnensteBuiten. Marieke wrote bestseller ‘This is a good guide – for a sustainable lifestyle’ (of which international and youth editions were also published), and regularly speaks out on issues including equal rights, feminism, taboos and shame, and the effect on us and the earth of how we are kept addicted to more.
