Q&A hosted by film070

After the screening of Yalla Parkour, film070 will host a talk with an organiser from the Students for Palestine movement in the Netherlands, many of whom are Palestinian. Having previously collaborated with organisers within the movement, Film070 aims to host a Palestinian student organiser to discuss themes of reclaiming memories, exploring identity, and the sense of belonging. Beyond the film’s themes, the conversation will also center on the student organizer’s experiences and how both the student community and the Movies that Matter community can support the cause.

film070 presents Yalla Parkour
Film070:Yalla Parkour beautifully narrates the life of Areeb and Ahmed – people who lived and have lived in Gaza. Making the political personal, this movies concentrates on their individual stories, memories, and experiences. While acknowledging the pain and suffering, the film centers the hopes and dreams of the Palestinian protagonists with hopes to humanize their experience during these times of war. Film070 chooses this movie for their special programme since it shows a beautiful angle of the current political situation. Rather concentrating on pain, it focuses on the resilience and dreams of these people.”
