Ceyda, a young high-born Turkish woman, moves to France to be with the man she loves.

Soon, she encounters all sorts of problems and is submerged by an unexpected feeling of loneliness. Until she meets an elderly Asian man who speaks a language that strongly resembles hers on the building site next to her house. The man turns out to be an Ujgur from China who illegally resides in the French town, and appears to face the same problems as Ceyda does. Subdued and touching film.
