Mensjesrechten: This is Me

Do you have to forget your past to become yourself? In "This is Me" we get to know 16-year-old Allen Tumusiime. In Uganda she experienced that she was marginalized as a girl and she could not walk safely on the streets. It was an oppressive situation, as if she were in a prison where the limits of her existence were prescribed. Two years ago she fled from Uganda and came to live in the Netherlands. Using a self-made choreography, she shows her struggles through dance and how you can get strength from your past.
