Please Do Not Disturb

Mohsen Abdolvahab

Three storylines, three dilemmas. In this hilarious film debut by Iranian director Mohsen Abdolvahab, inhabitants of Tehran have to make choices that put their values to the test.

In three hilarious storylines, a number of Tehran inhabitants pass the batons of confusion, fear and threat, just like in a relay race. A TV host hits his wife and subsequently moves heaven and earth to prevent her from reporting domestic violence. The robbed priest featured in the second part is very much concerned about his reputation, too. While negotiating with the person that stole his wallet and important documents, he refuses to take bribes from a rich old lady and a handsome young man who want him to celebrate a temporary marriage. And sheer determination to watch their favorite TV series drives an elderly couple to keep the repairman waiting outside their front door.
Strong, spirited women call the tune in all three stories.
