Under the command of General Mladic, Bosnian Serb soldiers entered the Muslim enclave of Srebrenica in July 1995. Thousands died. Young French investigator Jacques Calvez is sent to the area by the Yugoslav Tribunal to investigate the disappearance of the Muslim men. The realistic fiction film Résolution 819 - winner of the Rome Film Festival Audience Award - shows his difficult and often painful search for the truth.
During the charge on Srebrenica thousands of inhabitants were forced to leave the area. Thousands others were killed.
