In the middle of the summer of 2006, Sven (9) experiences a strange morning. The shower remains cold, the lights won’t turn on, and the fridge is leaking. The power has been cut off. In this brief drama, this poses a problem for Sven, because he had invited his friends over that very evening to watch the upcoming football match between the Netherlands and Ivory Coast. Unfortunately, the party is cancelled: his mother cannot pay the bill. The nine-year-old decides to look for alternative solutions himself.
