Oscar Grant lives with his girlfriend and their 4-year-old daughter Tatiana in the Bay Area of San Francisco. On New Year’s Eve 2008 he takes the subway to the San Francisco city centre in order to celebrate the New Year with family and friends. When he is involved in a fight, a police officer makes a fatal error of judgment, leaving his beloved ones devastated. The whole country will know who Oscar is. Fruitvale Station won the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, and the Avenir Prize of the Un Certain Regard section at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
