Hidden Figures

2017, 127 minutes

The impressive, true story of three brilliant Afro-American women, who worked at NASA as the brains behind one of history’s largest operations: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into space. This achievement inspired generations to dare to dream big.

While the United States is tangled in a space race with the Soviet Union, NASA finds an untapped pool of talented Afro-American female mathematicians, who will operate as the brains behind one of the greatest endeavors in U.S. history. They rise quickly in the NASA ranks, and are responsible for the launch and safe return of astronaut Glenn. The women, Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson and Katherine Johnson, broke all gender and racial boundaries, dared to dream big and became a decisive factor in the history of American space travel.

Hidden Figures is the Chosen by pick by coach of the Irish women national football team Vera Pauw.
