Arianne returns to her class after a long illness and meets a new girl there: Zahra, who is from Afghanistan. They quickly become best friends and share everything with each other, including Ari’s crush on Renzo. But then Ari finds out that her incurable illness has returned, and Zahra discovers that she and her parents are being deported from the country. Ari launches a fearless campaign under the motto “don’t cry, but exchange”. She is determined to give her place and future in the Netherlands to Zahra. Together with their BFFs, the school starts protesting in The Hague against the decision made by the responsible minister. Eventually, the whole country supports the brave best friends. Will they succeed in convincing the minister?
