Anywhere Anytime

Issa is an undocumented immigrant from Senegal trying to survive in the bustling Italian city of Turin. He starts working as a food delivery courier, but his newfound stability unravels when his newly purchased bicycle is stolen during a drop-off. As he searches for it, Issa is sucked into a dramatic spiral of events.

After being fired from his job at the market due to fears of police fines, Issa’s friend Mario helps him secure work as a food delivery rider for “Anywhere Anytime.” The job offers him a taste of security and independence as he rides through the city, gaining the confidence to approach a girl he likes in the shelter where he stays. However, his sense of stability is shattered when his newly purchased bike is stolen during a delivery. Issa embarks on a desperate journey through the city streets to recover his only means of survival.

As he navigates an unforgiving urban landscape, Issa’s journey becomes an odyssey of resilience, desperation, and fleeting moments of kindness that remind him of the humanity still present in the world. In this way, Milad Tangshir’s debut fiction feature serves as a modern homage to Vittorio De Sica’s 1948 classic Bicycle Thieves.
