Fisherman Rowin barely catches enough to make ends meet. But when he meets a mysterious man at his regular fishing spot, his life seems to change drastically.
As a young fisherman on Curaçao, Rowin finds it hard to keep his head above water. Until one day he has a miraculous encounter with a mysterious figure. It dawns on Rowin that his presence on the fishing spot is causing him to catch more fish. As the two get to know each other better, Rowin dares to open up about his past and learns to embrace his future.
Director Kevin Osepa sheds new light on themes of post-colonialism and Afro-Caribbean identity with this film.
