Justice Frame Night

Eight films at the intersection of global justice and (international) law have been selected for the Justice Frame competition. At the Justice Frame Night on Thursday 27 March, we will screen one of these films, Alexis Bloom’s documentary The Bibi Files, with an introduction and panel discussion.

Using leaked, never-before-seen interrogation footage, The Bibi Files provides an unflinching look into Benjamin Netanyahu’s inner circle and a private world of alleged bribery and fraud. His corruption is more than a scandal—it is a gateway for the far-right to consolidate power. As Netanyahu embraces their extremism to shield himself from legal consequences, the cost is measured in human lives. The film exposes how his political survival is intertwined with policies that fuel deadly violence—headlines that continue to unfold before our eyes. A bold and urgent documentary that challenges viewers to confront the reality behind the rhetoric.

The screening will be introduced by Wouter Werner, a professor of international law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Afterwards, there will be a panel discussion with Wouter Werner, Simbarashe Maguchu, researcher and assistant professor of Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and Nani Jansen Reventlow, an author and award-winning human rights lawyer specialised in strategic litigation at the intersection of human rights, social justice and technology.
