Q&A with Thijs Woudstra (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

After the screening, Marieke Eyskoot will moderate a conversation with Thijs Woudstra – head Food Security and nutrition at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thijs will have a conversation with the audience, answering questions about the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Thijs Woudstra – As Head of the Food Security section at the MFA; aligning food security policy with the overall policy of the ministry, linking food security programming and policy with private sector, migration policy and international stability; setting up a new ‘systems based policy’ ; attaining the ambitious goals set by our Minister and leading a team of 18 professionals.

Prior to this position, he was from 2018 – 2025 Deputy Head of Mission/Head of Development in Addis Ababa and Dhaka where he contributed to setting up and controlling programmes and projects; responsible for the good execution of the programmes; leading the policy teams dealing with development and trade; integrating development, investments and trade.
