Q&A with journalist Marieke de Vries

Soldier’s Bones follows a journalist uncovering the crimes of American militarism during the Vietnam War. But how unique is that history? Following the screening, Servaz van Berkum will speak with NOS journalist Marieke de Vries – who spent five years as a US correspondent witnessing first-hand how disinformation can pull realities apart – about the importance of press freedom and American military conduct. And the question that lingers: do we recognise these patterns in the world today?
