During the Pitch & Networking event of Cinema without Borders, the fifteen selected participants will present their human rights film festival / mobile cinema project, followed by speeddates to make connections and broaden their network.
Cinema without Borders is a workshop and networking programme organised by Movies that Matter. This year, the five-day interactive programme brings together 15 (starting) human rights film festival organisers from Botswana, Brazil, Cambodia, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kurdistan, Nigeria, Malawi, Mexico, Rwanda, Tunisia and Uganda.
During the workshop progaramme, participants will gain practical knowledge and get fresh ideas and possibilities to strengthen their network. By exchanging experiences and best practices, participants are inspired and assisted to further develop their own festival. The interactive workshops will address various aspects of organising a human rights film festival, such as programming films and organising debates, fundraising, impact strategies, promotion and reaching new audiences.
This year the Pitch & Networking Event of Cinema without Borders is taking place on Wednesday afternoon, March 27 at the Movies that Matter Festival.
During this event the 15 participants will shortly pitch their human rights film festival/mobile cinema projects on stage, followed by speed dates with organisations in the field of human rights and culture.
This event is by invitation only. Accreditation passholders can also reserve a ticket to attend the programme.
