When the two friends Tau and Tumelo go on a camping trip in the South African mountains, Tau comes to the realization that he has feels more than just friendship for Tumelo. One night, they can’t ignore the sexual tension between them. The impossible love between Tau and Tumelo shows queerness in Africa, the traditional expectations of men in African cultures, and the isolation that many find themselves currently dealing with.
This short film has been part of the programme Shorts: Through the Eyes of Others at the Movies that Matter Festival 2022.
