About the films
Comments (11 minutes)
An intense short film about cyberbullying, mental health, and the impact of social media on young people. A teenage girl receives a positive comment on social media from a boy, but her initial excitement quickly turns into a nightmare as she becomes the target of trolls and relentless cyberbullying.
Canceled (18 minutes)
In this Dutch short film, well-known rapper Kenta (played by Fresku) releases a new track containing a series of controversial statements. As a result, he is flooded with thousands of hateful messages across his social media channels. His followers quickly turn against him, and his record label publicly drops him. Together with his manager Randy, Kenta retreats to a villa in the Ardennes, where he desperately tries to save both his career and his life.
Educational programme
Before and after the screenings, students take part in a guided discussion in the cinema. Led by an experienced moderator, they explore the themes raised in both short films, reflecting on social media, online behaviour, and the impact of words and actions.
