São Paulo, July 1998. On the day of the World Cup final against France, Erika Shigeru (14), a Japanese Brazilian teenager who rejects the traditions of her Japanese family, is eager to celebrate a world title for her country. Amid the growing tension during the match, Erika deals with microaggressions and plunges into a painful sea of emotions.
