Movies that Matter opens eyes to human rights through film. Moving feature films and revealing documentaries that hold up a mirror to us. Films that get us talking about the important topics of our time. We screen these films at schools, at the annual festival in The Hague and in film theaters throughout the country. We also support human rights activists with film screenings abroad.
Do you want to contribute to our work? Awesome. As a foundation, we are largely dependent on subsidies and donations. So every gift is very welcome!

Donate with a tax benefit
You can make your donations to Movies that Matter 100% tax deductible by legally recording them in an agreement for at least five years. The Dutch tax authority, the Belastingdienst, will then contribute up to half of your donation. Calculate your benefit via the ANBI calculator (we are not designated as a cultural ANBI). Then fill in the form below and send it to us by post or email.
Fund contributions, grants and large gifts
Fund contributions, grants and large gifts are of great importance to our work. This can be done by making a one-off donation, but also by making a structural donation. Various renowned funds and partners have already preceded you.
For example, it is possible to donate to a specific program (for example, our education program or our international work). You can also choose to leave the choice to Movies that Matter. We will of course keep you informed about how your donation is spent and you will receive free tickets to our annual film festival.
