Regular online ticket sales start on Thursday 6 March at noon. The Multi Ticket and some specials go on pre-sale. With a Multi Ticket, you can already buy tickets from Wednesday 5 March.

Festival Box Office
From Friday 21 March, you can also buy tickets at the festival box office in The Hague. The festival box office in the foyer of Theater aan het Spui will be open daily from 21 March to 29 March. At the festival box office, you can buy tickets for film screenings in Filmhuis Den Haag and Theater aan het Spui. Please note that it can be busy at the box office on location so arrive on time. At our festival box office, payment can only be made by PIN and credit card. You can NOT pay by cash at the festival box office.

We Are Public pass holders can pick up their (reserved) tickets at the festival box office. This is possible on the day of the screening, from the opening of the box office until a maximum of 15 minutes before the start of the screening.

Theater Dakota, De Nieuwe Regentes and De Vaillant
Tickets for screenings at Theater Dakota, Theater de Regentes and Theater de Vaillant will be on sale from 6 March via the website and/or box office of the respective theatres.

Online
You can buy tickets online from Thursday 6 March via our website.

• Go to the programme overview and choose a film or event.
• Click on the ‘Times and tickets’ button. An overview of all available screenings of the film in question will appear.
• Click on the screening you want to see.
• This will take you to the shopping basket.
• Login or create an account.
• Choose your ticket type and the number of tickets.
• Add the tickets to your shopping basket and click on ‘Checkout’. Or choose ‘Continue shopping’ if you want to purchase tickets for multiple screenings.

Festival box office

You have 30 minutes to add items to your shopping cart. Once you click the checkout button, you will receive an additional 10 minutes to complete your payment.

To buy a ticket through our website, you need an account. For this, you only need to provide your name and email address.

If you haven’t received an e-ticket, also check your spam to be sure. Add tickets@moviesthatmatter.nl to your contacts so that you do receive subsequent mails properly.

Did you also not receive the e-ticket as spam? Send an e-mail to tickets@moviesthatmatter.nl. Indicate in your e-mail for which screening (film title, date and time) you have purchased a ticket. We will contact you as soon as possible.

Do you have questions about a ticket purchased through one of our external locations (Theater Dakota, Theater de Regentes, Theater de Vaillant, or Kunstmuseum)? Please contact the respective location directly.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund money for tickets already purchased. It is also not possible to exchange ordered tickets for tickets for another screening.

Cineville tickets can be cancelled via the website. Go to the shopping basket. Log in to your account. Under ‘My Account’ you will find ‘Order history’. Here you can cancel the relevant order.

All venues in the Filmhuis Den Haag and Theater aan het Spui used during the festival are wheelchair accessible. Limited wheelchair spaces are available:

If you wish to use a wheelchair space, please send an email to tickets@moviesthatmatter.nl after purchasing a ticket to reserve a wheelchair space.

If the available wheelchair spaces are already reserved, we will work together to find another suitable moment for you when the film is screening. If that is not possible, we will refund the purchase amount.

Yes! We offer a 5 and 10 Multi Ticket.

A regular ticket costs €13.50, but with a multi ticket, you can attend five or ten films at a more affordable rate. Prefer to attend the festival with others? Share the multi ticket with friends to watch films together or give it as a gift. With the multi ticket, you also enjoy exclusive priority access to ticket sales, ensuring you secure a spot for the films of your choice a day ahead of the general ticket sales.

• In your shopping card you can click on ‘Want to use a promotional code? Click here’. Fill in the code and click on ‘apply’.
• You now see a the ticket appear that fits the promotional code.
• Click on ‘order’ and ‘pay’.
• You receive an e-ticket in your mailbox.

Please note: promotional codes are not valid for screenings at Theater Dakota, Theater de Regentes and Theater de Vaillant, nor for the purchase of combi-tickets or a ticket for the Justice Frame Masterclass.

Please note: discount codes are not valid for screenings at Theater Dakota, Theater de Regentes and Theater de Vaillant, nor for the purchase of combi-tickets or a ticket for the Justice Frame Masterclass.

Cineville is valid for all regular film screenings at Filmhuis Den Haag, Theater aan het Spui and Theater Dakota. Read more about the ordering process here.

With your We Are Public pass, you can visit some specific film screenings. From 6 March, you will find the selection on the We Are Public website.

Online booking
Via the website, you can book a We Are Public ticket for selected screenings. Don’t forget to have your We Are Public pass scanned at the festival box office in the foyer of Theater aan het Spui at least 15 minutes prior to the screening.

At the festival box office
You can also order a We Are Public ticket for a screening at the festival box office in the foyer of Theater aan het Spui, while stocks last. You can do this on the day of the screening, from the opening of the box office, until a maximum of 15 minutes before the start of the screening.

Ooievaarspas holders get a 50% discount on regular film screenings at the Filmhuis Den Haag, Theater aan het Spui and Kunstmuseum.

Online ticket sales
Ooievaarspas holders can order tickets for film screenings at Filmhuis Den Haag, Theater aan het Spui and Kunstmuseum from Thursday 6 March on our website. Choose the ticket type ‘Ooievaarspas’ enter your pass number on the front of your pass. Click on ‘order’. You will receive an e-ticket with a QR code. You can order several different films in one purchase. Your e-ticket will be scanned at the entrance to the screening room.

It is not possible to order Industry tickets and combi-tickets with your Ooievaarspas. However, you can order tickets with your Ooievaarspas for the individual screenings that are part of the special.

At the festival box office

If there is still availability for a film, you can also order a ticket with your Ooievaarspas at the festival box office last minute. Have your pass scanned at the festival box office and you will receive a ticket.

Theater Dakota, Theater de Regentes en Theater de Vaillant

Tickets for screenings at Theater Dakota, Theater de Regentes and Theater de Vaillant can be ordered via the website or at the box office of the respective theatres, and not at the festival box office at Theater aan het Spui.

No, the Nationale Bioscoopbon cannot be used to purchase a Movies that Matter ticket for a screening at Filmhuis Den Haag, Theater aan het Spui and Kunstmuseum.

Tickets for screenings at Theater Dakota, Theater de Regentes and Theater de Vaillant can be purchased via the website and/or box office of the relevant theatres from 6 March onwards. Here, the ticket sales rules of the theatre itself apply.

No, the Friends Pass, Movie Gift Card and 10x Movie Card from Filmhuis Den Haag are not valid for screenings at the Movies that Matter Festival.
