Link Up: Q&A with Selin Akkulak

In deze Link Up kijken we met Haagse actrice Selin Akkulak (Mocro Maffia, Oogappels) naar Vlam, geregisseerd door Daphne Lucker.

Selin Evani Akkulak (1996) began her acting career at the age of 12 with a permanent role in the children’s series Vrijland. In 2020, she played her first leading role in the television film ECHO, directed by Daphne Lucker. Additionally, she has appeared in various television series such as Van der Valk, Oogappels, and the Dutch hit series Een Grote Familie.   

During her master year at the University of Arts, Selin completed an internship at International Theater Amsterdam, where she performed in Age ofRage directed by the renowned Ivo van Hove. In 2022, the new female revenge series SiHAME was released, featuring Selin as one of the main characters. Shortly after, she secured her first international role in the crime series FBI: International broadcast on CBS.   

Selin collaborated with Theatergroep Oostpool over the last years, playing the leading role in Laura H and the role of Kitty in the marathon performance Het Achtste Leven. In the fall of 2024, she is set to star in The Almighty Sometimes directed by Daria Bukvić.
